take along or wooden Thomas trains?
Posted on 27. Jul, 2011 by Toy Expert.
Hi, I am a begginer in the wooden train word. I just started with the Ikea train set for my 3 year old son and he loves it. Now he get to know Thomas the train engine, and we are thinking on getting him the little wood engines for his birthday, but I found two kinds over the internet (we live in Spain, we don’t have them on regular stores).
I was wondering wich kind (take along or wooden) are compatibles with the ikea set we already have?
Thanks a lot.

Chuggington Wooden Railway Over & Under Starter Set with Clock Tower from Learning Curve
Posted on 27. May, 2011 by Toy Expert.
Full review: www.timetoplaymag.com The Over & Under Starter Set with Clock Tower combines the fun of the Chuggington TV series with classic wooden train play. There are 22 pieces in this set that kids can assemble in multiple ways. Stack the clock tower tunnel on top of the bridge tunnel to create one large clock tower. Or place each tunnel elsewhere on the track for two separate tunnels. Magnets on the front and back of Koko and Wilson mean that the trains easily attach (and come apart) and ride around the track together. Also included in this set is Vee. This set is compatible with other wooden railway systems.

Which trains do you use for wooden train track?
Posted on 22. Feb, 2011 by Toy Expert.
We are planning on buying a Circo brand wooden train track set from Target for my son for Christmas, but we are confused about which trains work on it. We know that it is compatible with Thomas the Train engines, but is it the wooden ones or can you use the little metal ones? Any help is appreciated!

I want to order a Thomas the Train Pirate Cove wooden train set for my son and found it on this website cheaper. Is this site a good site to go through? It makes me nervous ordering from sites I don’t know. Does anyone know any sites that have this toy that is reliable. Looking for the toy for under 100 dollars and hopefully free shipping.

When do kids stop playing with toys? Several questions…
Posted on 21. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
I know that sounds weird but my oldest will be going to Kindergarten in the fall which means that he will no longer be home as often. I’m assuming that his need for toys is going to decrease over the next year because of this. Would you agree?
In your experience, once school starts what kind of toys do 5, 6 &7 year olds start taking interest in? More educational things like LeapFrog? Or what? Suggestions? (I’m thinking Christmas presents here)
We have a wooden train table. He doesn’t seem to play with it anymore? Is 5 a good age to put it away or do you think he may still play with it occasionally as he gets older?
TIA for your help.

Anyone else Christmas shopping yet?
Posted on 12. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
Curious to see. I just finished for my toddler (using special offers and such from toy websites I use a lot-I have saved a ton). I have his summer birthday done-even got decorations knocked out, I have his Halloween outfit already, and now his Chrstmas is done. Well, except what Santa might do for him;) I just like to get this stuff done while items are on sale so I don’t stress or have to do last minute stuff. Anyone else do that? Oh-his big present is a wooden train set of Polar Express-his fave movie (we watched 2x’s this weekend) got it for 1/3 the price in January.
Yeah I am a bit OCD on my holidays. Plus I may change jobs this year and go to part time, so best shop while the money is there.
