Purchasing original Thomas train?

I am in Toronto, Canada.
I want to buy Thomas trains for my baby boy. I went to Toys R Us and there I found Thomas trains by Imaginarium and Fisher Price companies. Are these real Thomas trains ? Or is there a different Thomas train company which is not carried by Toys R Us ?
I remember reading an article couple of years back in a news paper about a toy train maker company. I think that was Thomas train, but I dont remember the name exactly. |This company was 100 million company and the train sets made by this company would cost 3-4 hundred dollars. I am trying to find the trains made by this company.
Is there a way I can find original Thomas trains or the ones made by Fisher Price are the original ones ? If not, what company shall I be looking for ? What stores carry these original trains ? Whats the website for this original company ? I tried to google it, but could not find correct one.

Do you yhink im asking for too much?

1. Lionel Train set hogwarts express (im basically getting it cuz its a cheaper lionel train but i like harry potter a little)

Do you think im asking too much? as you can tell from this list, im a kid ( or i could be a really geeky guy hehe) and the total of this i added on the calculator is 275.45.

Looking for party ware that isn't Thomas the Train?

I’m planning for my son’s birthday party which is train themed. I’ve been looking all over for paper plates, napkins, etc. that have trains on them, but that are not Thomas the Train. Any suggestions on where else to look? Someone’s got to have them! I don’t have much time to order anything online, so a local store would be awesome. Thanks for any suggestions!

Birthday gift ideas for my 2 year old son's birthday.?

My son is going to be turning 2 February second ( in a couple of weeks ). We plan on having his birthday party at chuck e cheese so he can run around and play with his friends. We wanted to get him a tricycle but he cant reach the peddles yet so we’re going to get him a wagon instead. He loves cars and anything with wheels. he has a ton of ride along toys that he rides on inside our house and plenty of books and clothes. What should we get him ? Anything you guys have seen lately in walmart or toys r us? for Christmas we got him a 0 train set and wooden table to play with as well as other toys but im running out of ideas !

Which investment would you make?

My daughter loves, loves, loves trains! Everytime we go to Toys R Us we always have to stop in the train section. They have a little table with a track and some trains set up and I have to bribe her away from them. So, I was thinking for Christmas I am going to invest in a train table for her, but not sure which one to get. She prefers the wooden train sets over the plastic. The wooden tracks/trains are rather expensive so all we have is a "Thomas & Friends figure 8" track and an extension set for the figure 8, but I plan on getting her more if I don’t buy a table with the pieces with it.

Or just a table and buy all the pieces, which as I stated are expensive (there are several plain tables to choose from, but here is one of them): http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3454156
With the tables we won’t be able to add on much to the track, just what the table allows us. But an advantage to the table would be that I don’t always have to take the track apart when she isn’t playing with it.
What should I do?
Yes, buying the cheap one then all the tracks and trains and other stuff would be more expensive.

my son is still damn crying….im so freakin mad about this…but maybe this website could help some of yall…. i triend searching the recall online and i couldnt find nothing so i had to call toys r us
for the ppl who say get over it or buy him a new toy…u dont understand thomas and friends is something my child enjoys alot and if there was something u collected and just was lost if u didnt have it you would be upset…. buying a new toy doesnt work all he want is thomas he has atleast a thousand dollars worth it is his everything!!!
