Anyone know of any toy train tracks you can buy that are nailed, glued on to a table?
Posted on 02. Oct, 2010 by Toy Expert.
My older son loves trains but my younger one always tears up the track when we set it up. I feel bad so I want to find a track that is like nailed to a table – can you buy such a thing?
Yeah he has the wooden tracks for those magentic Thomas trains.
Love that link to that train table, looks awesome!
I am SOOO uncreative people – should have added that, I don’t think I could make a very good one myself…

Good toys for a 3 year old boy?
Posted on 18. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
My son’s birthday is right after Christmas. I have no idea what to get him. He got a tool bench, Knex, and Thomas trains for Christmas. pretty much threw everything up in air and all over house (we did Christmas last weekend!)
He likes Duplos a lot, favorite toy is his magnadoodle – also likes his sisters Ponyville and Littlest Pet Shop toys….. likes throwing those too!!
He is a very mechanical / artistic child — high strung too. Likes to draw and build things -
Any Ideas??

Christmas help please…my 3 yr old changed his mind…?
Posted on 17. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
About two weeks ago we saw Santa in the mall and my son said he wanted Gordon (Thomas trains) so I bought that one to be from Santa. Problem though is that he got hold of the toy ad and decided he wanted GeoTrax instead and now wants nothing to do with Thomas–he even threw 2 trains in the garbage today because he wanted room for his new GeoTrax from Santa. I have said that Santa doesn’t know he changed his mind and already has something else for him. He didn’t have any of it–just yelled at me about how Santa does know what he wants and will bring it. He already has alot of Thomas tracks and such after 2 years of collecting and I really cannot afford another 0 for a bunch of plastic when his current train set is wood. Nothing he has would work on GeoTrax. What can I do now? And please don’t say that it doesn’t matter because he will not remember–he remembers what Santa brought him last year and what I got him–don’t make the mistake and switch what he got from whom. HELP!
To those who think he doesn’t know that Christmas is about giving and not getting, he has already picked out two toys for two kids (one boy and one girl) from the Angel Tree and he gave a neighbor kid his favorite character pillow because the other kid didn’t have one. He his very giving and really is not that spoiled, I just give him a voice and respect that voice early.

What toys/games should we have to keep 8-9 yr. old boys from destroying my house?
Posted on 09. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
I have 2 boys, ages 5 & 8. They play pretty mellow together – games, legos, creative play etc. But when we have neighborhood kids (other boys ages 7-9) over, it’s a free for all. The boys all go wild and play very agressively – tons of energy expelled and not very constructively. Toys get broken, kids get hurt and my house is being slowing destroyed. I think our toys are perhaps too "young" and they get bored quick? We have legos, Thomas Trains, Playmobile sets, Lincoln Logs, Hot Wheels, Rescue Heroes, Spy Gear stuff, etc. We are not interested in getting any gaming systems (playstation, wii, etc.) for a couple years. Does anyone have any suggestions on winter, indoor toys/games that boys this age like to do inside? Or do you think I just need to be stricter and insist they settle down somehow and play with what we have? When they are all playing at other houses, they mostly play the gaming systems (or go wild in someone’s unfinished basement where the owner doesn’t care what they do).

Carlton’s Toy Thomas Trains, Trucks, Tracks and Tinker Toys (HD720p)
Posted on 01. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
Carlton has a huge amount of Thomas trains and other toys that run on tracks and obviously too much time on his hands so he put them all together in one small bedroom then started them all up at once. Most of them run on batteries so he should probably own stock in the Duracell company by now. Just about the only thing missing was a harbor with a lego Titanic.

My sister borrowed my car, and her two children destroyed it what to do?
Posted on 01. Sep, 2010 by Toy Expert.
I let my sister borrow my car for a couple of hours because hers was in the shop and she promised nothing would happen. My niece is 4 and my nephew almost 20 months. Well, My bad sister left her children in the car and my niece un buckled her seat belt and my nephew’s as well and destroyed toys that my son had, lost some of his thomas trains by throwing them out of the window, they found a small stash of formula I keep just in case that I replace every month and poured 10 oz of formula all over my car. They ruined my son and daughter’s coat. I know it’s my fault for letting her borrow the car, but she didn’t even say sorry about the car or thank you for borrowing it. It’s a brand new luxury car with leather seats. My niece destroyed my bose speakers by spilling juice on it.What should I do or say?
