I believe it is midnight . I am probably wrong though . but that is a good question cause I have never really noticed that . good luck and god bless.

Through out the whole movie it is 11:55 until they get to the North Pole and the conductor looks at his pocket watch and it says 11:59…that stays like that until the kids come out of Santa’s bag………it is midnight when they leave.

11:55. Later on in the movie there are many references to the fact that "It’s been 5 ’til for an hour."
